Oneness of Flesh : The Eternal Truth of Oneness Of Being
The Eternal Truth about Oneness of Flesh
In The bible there is much to take note of when it comes to the union of a man and a woman becoming one flesh.
The point is to keep exactly what Jesus said and meant in Mind because He as well spoke of how it was in the begining when God Created Man and Woman in His image.
Let us start with Genesis
Genesis 1 (Creation)
Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Here in Genesis 1, God uses the word OUR image, obviously reffering to the Heavenly Hosts of Angels because the very first line of creation speaks of both the heavens and the earth. Though the earths physical or fleshly realm was without form and void, Heaven was already complete in spirit with the Angels IN CREATION, what was left was to continue the work of creating the earth and placing man's FLESHLY presence in it along with everything else.
Take note it says MALE AND FEMALE CREATED HE THEM, this is direct refference to ONENESS when it comes to any idea of BEING even when angels are concerned.
Genesis2:7/18/21-24) God Forming Man and Woman
Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
2:18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
2:21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
2:22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
2:23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
As adam said seeing the purpose of God's creating of Male and Female, such again is the truth of ONENESS OF FLESH.
We know from the point of woman being deceived by the serpent and adam also eating of the knowledge of good and evil, from the genologies of adams offspring there are many displacements between men and women because of the violence that ended up filling the earth and the corruption of sexual intimacy with fallen angels that even brought forth giants to be.
The Rest of the Old testament amidst the ordinance of sacrafice of animals and things to God is riddled with many traditions and man made carrying overs of what has come to be known as MARRIAGE.
The term MARIAGE is any CUSTOMARY *APROVAL* of the union between a man and a woman. This aproval is always by anyone OTHER THAN those whom are engaging in the custom of MARRIAGE that they be considered to be Husband and Wife.
Biblicaly for most people they reffer to the Corban Law called DOWRY which has many different names in other cultures, all such being aproval either by imediate family members or even just stated as CUSTOMARY STANDARDS.
To understand the difference between CUSTOMARY MARRIAGE and its true meaning apart from GODS TRUTH ABOUT ONENESS OF FLESH, we can look at the way Jesus answered the pharisees and saducees when they tested him with certain questions about the matter.
LUKE 20:27-37 (As The Angels)
Luke 20:27 Then came to him certain of the Sadducees, which deny that there is any resurrection; and they asked him,
20:28 Saying, Master, Moses wrote unto us, If any man's brother die, having a wife, and he die without children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.
20:29 There were therefore seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and died without children.
20:30 And the second took her to wife, and he died childless.
20:31 And the third took her; and in like manner the seven also: and they left no children, and died.
20:32 Last of all the woman died also.
20:33 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife of them is she? for seven had her to wife.
20:34 And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage:
20:35 But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:
20:36 Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.
20:37 Now that the dead are raised, even Moses shewed at the bush, when he calleth the Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.
20:38 For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him.
This question that Jesus was tested with consisted of the tradition of marriage, the commandment of God to be fruitful and multiply (offspring and seed), and outworkings surrounding death of one or the other being the man or woman.
Their question came from the tradition of INHERITING a brothers wife, which was NOT an ordinance from God in the begining. Such tradition came from families or bloodlines trying to maintain the keeping of material wealth attached to any offspring they may have.
Obviously the woman had not married for any sakes of ONENESS OF FLESH which in it already bears the promise of seed, but the trickery of the question was in that there was no seed born to any of the brothers in question, and then lastly the woman also died.
Jesus Response saying "AS THE ANGELS" brings one back to what we have just covered from Genesis in God saying "LET US make man in OUR image", which makes complete sense why he said that she would be NEITHER of the brothers' wife IN THE RESSURECTION.
His answer even more so fully revealing that HE HIMSELF through the fathers promise IS THE RESURECTION whom walked amongst them. This was so they knew THE RESURECTION IS NOW and not a "later" issue for what he meant when he said "they will be as the angels", literaly what he came to restore even for us today. This is why he mentioned the burning bush.
Another issue people struggle to understand when it comes to the happenings on earth is the matter of divorce.
Lets look at what Jesus said.
Mathew19:3-12 (Jesus gets Asked about divorce)
Matthew 19:3 The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?
19:4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,
19:5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?
19:6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
19:7 They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away?
19:8 He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.
19:9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.
19:10 His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry.
19:11 But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given.
19:12 For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.
In verse 10 the disciples brought up the matter of those who chose not to marry in the way they answered. Jesus told them that not all people can receive or understand this but some people are born without the desire to marry or become one flesh "in the time they walk on the earth", others chose to become so after what they would have gone through maybe even being redeemed from various worldly issues surounding the oposite sex AND FOR THE KINGDOM OF GODS SAKE, others are made so by men, of which some cultures and traditions carry these traits.
As for the matters of divorce, Jesus answered POINT BLANK and EXACTLY where the teaching of divorce came from amidst issues of sexual imorality.
Moses wrote simply that if a man wants to divorce his wife that he write a letter of divorcement. The truth is that because of many worldly ties, people would use divorce in malicious ways even without reasoning or any reality to the matter of ONENESS OF FLESH.
Jesus said divorce can only be done in cases of infidelity because HAVING SEX with ANOTHER PERSON means YOU BECOME ONE FLESH WITH THEM and are no longer one flesh with whom you have departed from.
He gave a serious warning about continualy jumping from one oneness of flesh to another simply by saying "whoever marries a woman/man who is PUT AWAY/DIVORCED commits adultery".
PUTTING AWAY is a term given to a situation or circumstance where sexual imorality is suspected and either the man or woman is trying to find out the truth of the matter.
The devil does at times cause a man or woman to question such matters but such is always overcome by confirmation and affirmation between the two.
This is why Jesus said if any one is put away it is His will that they be reconciled.
The point is that there need not be any seccond thoughts about oneness of flesh, all of which come from man made traditions and standards toward the matter all BESIDES the inward and outwardly outworked FIDELITY and FAITHFULNESS between a man and woman whom are one flesh.
In Mathew 5 Jesus says these same words, and also speaks of the "lustful eye" that man made doctrines and demonic teachings cause people to believe of themselves and behave like, inwardly as well as outwardly.
Matthew 5:27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
5:29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
5:30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
5:31 It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:
5:32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
Vs28 - Most people look at Jesus' saying this and conclude that then no one can do otherwise, for sakes of the intersexual perversions that the world is full of.
Actualy Jesus is telling us that WE ARE NOT MADE LIKE THIS and that SUCH IS THE DEVILS CONSCIENCE toward any members of the oposite sex, who are all brothers and sisters which is different from whom we are ONE FLESH with.
This is what he meant whe said to PLUCK OUT ONES EYE. i.e. REMOVE SUCH TEACHING FROM YOURSELF. As for RIGHT HAND meaning displaying of inordinate affection toward members of the oposite sex, again such is personaly adapted principle and teaching to do so or to PURSUE doing so.
Let us also look at Paul writting to the corinthians in 1Cor7 about oneness of flesh and marriage.
The corinthians had asked paul about matters concerning such.
I will have to shed light on the extensiveness of what paul was amazingly given By God to write in only one chapter.
1 Corinthians 7:1 Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman. <Inordinate affection - carrying the affection of husbandryand wifery into brotherly and sisterly behaviour>
7:2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication,<because the world teaches it and the devil tempts> let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
Adressing the MUTUALITY of Oneness
7:3 Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.
7:4 The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife. <They are both each others>
7:5 Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.
(Paul begining to adress the decision not to marry or remain widowed)
7:6 But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment.
7:7 For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.
(Adressing Deciding not to marry and remarraige)
7:8 I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I.
7:9 But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.
(Putting away and departure from oneness adressed)
7:10 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:
7:11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.
(Believers and non believers in union)
7:12 But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away.
7:13 And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.
7:14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.
(Departure issues because of unbelief)
7:15 But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.
7:16 For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife?
7:17 But as God hath distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called every one, so let him walk. And so ordain I in all churches.
(Comparing the choice to marry or not or remain widowed to circumcision or uncircumcision of the flesh)
7:18 Is any man called being circumcised? let him not become uncircumcised. Is any called in uncircumcision? let him not be circumcised.
7:19 Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God.
7:20 Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called.
7:21 Art thou called being a servant? care not for it: but if thou mayest be made free, use it rather.
7:22 For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord's freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ's servant.
7:23 Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men.
7:24 Brethren, let every man, wherein he is called, therein abide with God.
(Adressing Virgins)
7:25 Now concerning virgins I have no commandment of the Lord: yet I give my judgment, as one that hath obtained mercy of the Lord to be faithful. <It is not a commandment but ones own liberty to remain so>
7:26 I suppose therefore that this is good for the present distress, I say, that it is good for a man so to be. <"The present distress" being the devil and demonic attacks in temptation towards fornication and adultery>
7:27 Art thou bound unto a wife? seek not to be loosed. Art thou loosed from a wife? seek not a wife.
Because The Corinthians were believers amongst unbelievers, some believers were bound to their unbelieving spouses and had questions if they should SEEK to be loosed while also some unbelievers would have departed from their spouses hating their belief in Christ and those would ask if they should SEEK a wife,
7:28 But and if thou marry, thou hast not sinned; and if a virgin marry, she hath not sinned. Nevertheless such shall have trouble in the flesh: but I spare you.
<Trouble in the flesh is the reason he wrote for two in union to remain prayerful and not to defraud one another NOTE:in the realm of passions, Lust and commited love are very different. The devil or demons can attempt to cause over exagerated emotional displacement between a man and woman in oneness of flesh walking on the earth, but THE FAITHFULNESS AND COMMITMENT BETWEEN THEM OVERCOMES THIS. It is usualy why some prefer to remain as virgins, but still even they also deal with the devil attacking, just without anyone external from themselves to reffer to in any question of their oneness of flesh, which makes their Spiritual discernment "easier" so to speak.>
(Adressing the attitude for all to have toward worldly cares however they were called)
7:29 But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none;
7:30 And they that weep, as though they wept not; and they that rejoice, as though they rejoiced not; and they that buy, as though they possessed not;
7:31 And they that use this world, as not abusing it: for the fashion of this world passeth away.
(Directing their attention to CARING FOR THINGS OF THE LORD in whichever state they are)
7:32 But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord:
7:33 But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife.
7:34 There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.
<In the way marriage is traditionaly understood, a couples concerns are always on monetary or material matters before considering other people and sharing the word of God and seeking the kingdom first having all things follow.
It is not impossible for a couple to serve God, but as in verse 5 where PRAYERFULNESS is called for in the union, both have to be commited to God otherwise the concern of the marriage becomes of worldly affairs. This is why the difference is made between a virgin and he/she whom is married. Note: the world of unbelievers also has people who remain as virgins for the wrong reason, so the wisdom paul was given should make sense concerning GOD oriented ONENESS of flesh as oposed to traditional marriage for worldly reasons.>
7:35 And this I speak for your own profit; not that I may cast a snare upon you, but for that which is comely, and that ye may attend upon the Lord without distraction.
(Adressing the "keeping of virgins")
7:36 But if any man think that he behaveth himself uncomely toward his virgin, if she pass the flower of her age, and need so require, let him do what he will, he sinneth not: let them marry.
7:37 Nevertheless he that standeth stedfast in his heart, having no necessity, but hath power over his own will, and hath so decreed in his heart that he will keep his virgin, doeth well.
7:38 So then he that giveth her in marriage doeth well; but he that giveth her not in marriage doeth better.
<Keeping of virgins is a man made tradition of which paul was given to liberate people from the man made ideas surrounding Oneness of flesh.>
7:39 The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.
7:40 But she is happier if she so abide, after my judgment: and I think also that I have the Spirit of God.
The LAW paul speaks of here is that of MARRIAGE and BEING GIVEN.
The reason paul ends saying in his judgement that the widow would be happier "if she so abides" as a widow is because oneness of flesh truly is an eternal issue, and come the entire perfection of the Resurection in the promise that is and is to come which we have, such is the true nature of a man and woman in union, not being GIVEN in marriage by anyone even their parents. (re:A man and woman will leave their mother and father and become one flesh).
It truly is anyones liberty that when they are widowed by death to chose another person to be one flesh with. This should make sense why Paul spoke about burning in the passion of sexual desire when either the husband or wife has passed on. The reality of the matter becomes that THEY BECOME ONE FLESH WITH SOMEONE ELSE *IF THEY DECIDE TO REMARY*.
Note: we always like to consider the reality of two believers in union, but all these words in 1Corinthians7 are directed at showing each individual person wether the virgin, the believing couple, a believer and non believer in union, as well as the widowed and unmarried whom were departed from.
A widowed believer, male or female could have been in a relationship with a non believer, in which case "how do you know you will save your husband/wife" applies for them.
A widowed believer who's other half has passed on KNOWS GOD and that the Reality of oneness of flesh is not a temporary but eternal truth we being made in Gods image both male and female, and therefore paul wrote saying "after his own judgement" that the widow would be happier remaining as they were.
A virgin whom does not want to marry, or someone who came to christ after being departed from and Believes in God, KNOWS THAT THEIR ONENESS OF FLESH IS IN CHRIST.
The book of revelation and the seccond coming of Jesus in Chapter 19 as well as the 1000 year reign with Christ on the earth as we know it IS KEY TO UNDERSTANDING the matter.
ALL Those who died IN CHRIST will be Resurected for that 1000 years in Chapter 20. This is THE FIRST RESURECTION of which the "seccond death" after the 1000 years comes to pass has no power.
The REST OF THE DEAD, meaning those who died receiving the mark of the beast, wether before or have done so AT CHRISTS COMING are killed by the sword proceeding from his mouth and WILL NOT RISE UNTILL THE 1000 YEARS IS OVER, where satan is finaly cast into the lake of fire after being released a short while to deceive Gog and Magog after which the book of life and many books are opened and ALL THE DEAD from the begining up untill the end of that 1000 years are judged according to their works and those not written in the book of life are cast into the lake of fire.
From Here Proceedes the END ALL FINALIZATION of The Promise THAT IS and IS TO COME of the New Heavens and the New Earth. Which is ETERNAL unlike the first ones.
ALL OF THIS IS INCLUSIVE REVELATION AND PART OF ONENESS BETWEEN A MAN AND A WOMAN when paul spoke of CARING FOR THE THINGS OF THE LORD.
